Exercise

The more active you are, the better you feel. This is because activity makes your brain release lots of chemicals which help you feel good.

It is safe to do intense exercise while you have back pain. If you think you might be ready, you almost certainly are. People who do more intense exercise recover more quickly.

You may notice more pain while you are moving and exercising. This is because your brain is unsure if it is a good idea. Luckily, your protective pain system will not let you get to the point where you will cause damage.
